by Todd Stanley
When the town drunk comes across the body of saloon owner Matt Tarantino, a bullet where his left eye used to be, events are set into motion that will forever change his life. He is blamed for the murder, so in order to prevent being hanged he tells the sheriff he saw a stranger leaving the saloon. The only stranger in the area is Joseph McGuff, a legendary gunfighter who seems to be passing through. This makes McGuff a wanted man. When McGuff decides to stay in their small town of Hanging Rock, New Mexico, the town drunk feels guilty for having blamed an innocent man and after almost ten years of drinking, stops. He figures to put things right he needs to catch who really did kill Matt and clear the good name of McGuff. Of course this is easier said than done as McGuff has a reputation of being a heartless killer who has bested dozens of men in gunfights.
