to find honest people to publish it,

Title of Book: IMPOSTER
Author: Kathy Anderson
Publisher: Speculative Fiction Review
ISBN Number:
Genre: : Science Fiction
Release Date: February 2007

The first thing I noticed about this book was the dramatic cover. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover and I hoped I wouldn’t be disappointed. As in fabulous cover, less than stellar story – that was not the case for Imposter by Kathy Anderson.

The story begins with adultery. Arthur discovers his wife Patricia in bed with another man.

There is a lot going on in this story which made this review a bit difficult to write. There is the parallel storyline between Arthur Schultz, a New York reporter and Jacob Brown, a teenage boy from the coastal community of North Queensland. Arthur’s and Jacob’s story intertwine and leads to each discovering more of himself as Arthur goes undercover at a cult.

Imposter is also a tale of alien invasion under the guise of a cult of mind readers. It asks the question – what is truth? What is real? It splinters off from there into the actual story line full of alter egos, secrecy along with an infiltration of Earth.

One highlight of Imposter for me was the excellent dialogue, intrigue and dramatic action. This is a very good, suspense story that will fascinate and peak readers interest.

I did feel Arthur was a bit better drawn than Jacob but Ms. Anderson’s easy style makes the read effortless as well as suspenseful.
