"To write what is worth publishing,
to find honest people to publish it,
and get sensible people to read it,
are the three greatest difficulties of an author"

Edna Merker knows it’s her time. Her once beautiful face and body have been transformed by time and little care into something she can hardly stand to look at in the mirror. In truth, she almost welcomes death. Her only regret is that she never got to enjoy herself when she was a vibrant young woman, so she wishes for one last day and night in her former body.

When she’s granted that wish, she vows to take advantage of every minute. Edna’s Longing follows her throughout her last day…

This quick read is one that will give you chills. Edna sees her own end and makes a heartfelt wish for what she should have had her whole life. The glimpses of the treatment she receives both before and after her transformation are what truly make this a story you won’t want to miss. In addition, her interaction with Benjamin is like a dream come true. I truly enjoyed the “Twilight Zone” type ending.
