Dirty Little secrets is, supposedly, a collection of short erotic stories.

This reviewer was hardpressed to find much about this collection that was enjoyable. There were a couple of m/m stories that weren’t bad and probably, in actuality, much better written than any of the others. I can only conclude that the author enjoys this more than m/f relations because when/if those are written they aren’t very exciting or good and inevitably the male ends up consuming his own secretions, which seems to be a highlight in this book. Spelling and grammitcal errors abound. Fourth (as in the fourth time) is spelled wrong repeatedly so one would guess it wasn’t just a typo.

I also wonder about the choice of the lead story which is a rather dull and poorly written tale about an apparently overweight woman who wins a trip to a tropical locale. While there she meets a dark man and falls in love in about a second, mistakes his sister for his lover, tries to make him jealous and leaves on her own only to jump back in to swim to him because some old man tells her that if it is really love she should go for it. Somehow in the five days she is there she manages to lose weight and become beautiful, whether this is only because she is happier or, in fact is some miracle, one isn’t too sure.

By the time I got to Oral Kisses I had pretty much had enough of the book but I was determined to keep going as I do try to be fair and read an entire book if I am to review it. This unfortunate story is where the tides really turned for me as it describes a woman having oral sex who is disgusted by it and thinking about how disgusted she is. Then the “thug” pulls back in time to cum on her and then lick it clean and proceeds to kiss her. This is where she really loses it and vomits in his mouth. Yes, I said that. To top it all he decides that he is “telling Mom”. Yes, I said that too. Apparently this is a brother and sister folks! “Don’t you dare,” she protested, chasing after her brother.” Um, ok, ewww. The thug (and again the author’s word not mine) is her brother.

I made it through a few more stories and then I could stomach no more. The only reason I’m giving this a two is that I think that some of the m/m stories weren’t so bad. However, in this reviewers opinion this collection is not “tales of erotica, romance, and passion”. There was not much I found that was erotic, sensual or passionate about any of these and there was certainly nothing I would classify as romance but perhaps I am an idealist. If you are looking for a whole lot of anal and oral sex with detailed secretions and such, and are willing to overlook most of the writing technique then perhaps you will enjoy this. I did not.
