This story was a slow read for me. I had to reread it again and it still didn’t hold my attention. I was bored with it after reading the prologue to the story.

Tyson Parsons, Jr. was also known as Ty. And he was raised by his mother until she died and then he was sent to live with his father. It was there that he met Jenny Gardner and they became friends but she had a crush on him while they were growing up. In their teens they got caught by his father messing around in the barn.

When Ty’s father passed Jenny was there to comfort him and try to be there for him but he didn’t want her. She didn’t listen and stayed anyway. They tried to have sex but Ty stopped it before it got hot and heavy. Jenny couldn’t understand why because she was ready to have sex with him but instead they just ended up cuddling together and when Ty awoke the next morning Jenny was gone.

Five years later, Ty had gotten married and divorced. His wife was fooling around on him and she was pregnant but the child was not his. Jenny went to school in California be a veterinarian. Jenny came back because her grandfather had died and Ty was there for her. A couple of months later her grandmother passed away too. Ty gave her the comfort she needed. After years of waiting, Ty and Jenny finally had sex.

I hold erotic romances to a higher standard since I read them a lot. And in all honestly, Branded was sub par in my book in terms of heat & spice. The point of erotic romances is to warm your heart and turn you on, this book just left me cold and wanting.
