"To write what is worth publishing,
to find honest people to publish it,
and get sensible people to read it,
are the three greatest difficulties of an author"

Desperate to feel the touch of the only man she wants but thinks she’ll never have, Carol sets about to lure Detective Liam Taggert into a night of unforgettable passion. Convinced he’d never want her as she really is—a school librarian—she changes her image, albeit temporarily, to something a little more…provocative. She succeeds in her pursuit, but as time goes on, she finds that getting away from Liam is proving more difficult than she’d planned. He wants to know more about the mysterious blonde bombshell named Carol. So what happens when he finds out the truth?

The plot is fully believable. There wasn’t a single moment where I thought: ‘No way. Not a chance.’ It goes about at a good, nice pace and certainly leaves the reader wanting to read more.

Carol, while inexperienced with men other than her ex-husband, is a strong woman. Even though she thinks no one, especially Liam Taggert, could ever want a ‘frumpy librarian’, she has a sort of pure charisma that can’t be overlooked. She’s a loving woman—toward her job, the kids she works with, and especially the detective she longs for.

Liam Taggert is a wet dream. Pure and simple. He’s hot, perfectly aged with just the slightest hint of gray hair to make it sexy, and he’s an utterly wonderful father. And in bed? Oh, Lord. Lucky Carol!

From the first sex they have, to the last sex scene of the book, these two are hot! The sex was not purple, but it also wasn’t crude. It was loving and sexy and left even me hot and bothered! (Now that’s a feat for a m/f book, let me tell you.)

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. It’s very tight in terms of style and plot, and I found myself wanting to read more, even when I had to stop for other things. Ms. Keaton does a wonderful job of drawing the reader in, and getting the reader into the minds of her characters. I was constantly praying that Carol would find what she so desperately sought from Liam, even if Carol herself didn’t believe she ever would.

Ms. Keaton, I commend you on a wonderful little story.
