Nana's Little Black Book is about a woman named Catrina, who just lost her grandmother. She has been so distraught that she has not even attempted to enter her beloved Nana's bedroom. After grieving for weeks, she makes the decision that she is strong enough to enter the bedroom and begin cleaning it out. In the process of cleaning the room, she uncovers something mysterious: a hidden trap door in the room. When she opens it, hidden treasures are reveled. Among these treasures lies a book of spells. This book becomes the key to the mystery of her grandmother, Catrina's healing, and pleasure.

The first page of this book caught my attention and left me wanting to read more. I felt that the lead character was incredibly sympathetic, and my heart went out to her for her loss. I truly felt that this character needed something to help her cope and bring a little happiness into her life. I was rooting for her. I like the way the lead character was brought closer to her grandmother as the story progressed. I felt that as she learned more about her Grandmother the easier it was for her to start her life again.

The characters in this book were stereotypical. Although the lead character was sympathetic, the "demons" were obvious, portrayed with the typical bad boy image usually used in fantasy. I don't think this did too much damage to the story other than slightly weaken the believability. I think the story would have been stronger if there had been an element of unpredictability to the demons.

Ms. Leigh wrote a great plot and did a wonderful job of creating a believable setting. The story was very descriptive about the environment, and Ms. Liegh created a wonderful picture for the reader. She has a fluid style of writing, and I would definitely add this author to my favorites. This book was mysterious, exciting, and erotic.
