This story is absolutely fantastic. It has all the elements a reader would want. I don't believe I've ever been speechless before about a book, but after only about 8 pages, I had to stop and begin writing this review so I could share it with someone!
It begins from the viewpoint of a werewolf on the hunt for food. He's sensitive enough to care that he quickly assuage his hunger before it might turn on a fellow human being, but powerfully animal enough to get the proper job done.
Evidently written about a small town in England, with just the right, (and genuine, mind you) accent and perspective, we're introduced to "Eddie", the bar owner, who is a strong, attractive divorcee. She's been very careful to rule her bar with an iron fist so the men can't take advantage of her, but soft enough to be desirable to the customers, a handful of potential suitors in particular.
Her small village is about to be turned upside down when a killer werewolf targets Eddie in a love triangle, and it's up to the reader to discover just how many sides a triangle can hold!
There is believable and juicy sex, comfortable dialogue and characters so real you'd expect to meet them on the street. Her characters feel as natural as if they dropped from the sky onto the paper.
Another thing I really like about this story is the unusually wide range of descriptive words, loaded with visual punch. The author is obviously British, and the spelling of some words is slightly different than the American spelling, but there is nothing here that a reader will find a problem with.
This werewolf tale is part fantasy, horror, murder mystery, romance, and all irresistible! I can promise you that Garou Moon delivers 150% of what readers are hungering for. I devoured this entire work in one night and am fairly certain that it will become a part of me for the rest of my life. Please do yourself a favor and put Garou Moon on your must have list.
I give Garou Moon a 5 cat rating and then some! Will I read more of M.E. Ellis' works? You'd better believe it!

Rating: 5 cats.
