"To write what is worth publishing,
to find honest people to publish it,
and get sensible people to read it,
are the three greatest difficulties of an author"

So there is a sequel to Bad Moon Rising. Thank goodness! After reading Book 1 last night, I couldn't wait to get to Book 2.

Bad Moon Rising tells the story of Trey and his quest to find a mate. Trey is a pack mate of Darius from Book 1. Set in the same town in Alabama, Book 2 felt like going home. I'd already got the town setting in my mind from Book 1.

Trey feels the pull of Tara, who runs the local bakery. Tara is the cousin of Meg from Book 1. Tara is also a witch, the spell caster of a trio of witch cousins. She resists the internal pull she feels toward Trey, but succumbs to his charms. Once again, Loribelle Hunt makes love at first sight plausible and very believable. All erotic scenes were tasteful, with a loving slant, and fit in with the storyline perfectly.

The 'something' that stalks the werewolf pack in Book 1 is still hanging around. It isn't long before things turn sinister, and Bad Moon Rising is an exciting read that had me on the edge of my seat. A couple of twists made me utter, 'Oh! Very cleverly done!' I didn't see them coming, as I was so engrossed in the story.

I know Loribelle Hunt mentioned two new books she's been writing. The titles lean towards being werewolf books. Can I dare to hope they are Book 3 and 4 in this wonderful series? After all, I want to know more about Eric and Jackson, the other two male pack members.

For the excitement level, the twists in the plot and the fast paced read (not to mention the fact that I ditched my diet and ate a large bar of chocolate and four slices of jam on toast while snuggling to read this book!)

I give Book 2: Bad Moon Rising, 5 cats.
