"To write what is worth publishing,
to find honest people to publish it,
and get sensible people to read it,
are the three greatest difficulties of an author"

Meg runs a bar in a small town in southern Alabama. She's a witch. She senses many things but has yet to perfect her craft. One thing she does know for sure is that someone or something is watching her and it makes her uneasy.

Darius, a werewolf who shifts, moves to the same town with his friends. They form a new pack. Darius, the Alpha male, seeks a mate--and finds his desires lay with Meg. Making her acquaintance, he receives a frosty reception, for Meg senses Darius isn't all he appears to be.

Over the course of a month, Darius visits Meg's bar as often as he can, trying to break through her icy demeanour. Though Meg has resisted him so far, her resolve weakens after she and Darius bump into one another in an old knickknack shop.

Darius seems arrogant and pushy, yet Meg is attracted to him, almost pulled to him by some unseen force. She senses he is a wolf, yet that doesn't deter her. They quickly become a couple.

However, that 'something' is still watching her...and it's up to Darius to find out who or what it is.

The erotic scenes in this book are very well done and in keeping with the story. They flow and are effortless to read. Loribelle Hunt writes a well-drawn tale, where the story is the main draw. Each erotic scene blends in with the story.

The only thing wrong with this book? It ended! I scrolled down to continue reading the next chapter and found I'd reached the end. I can only assume this is part of a series, as I'm excited to know who the watching person is--and if Darius maintains his Alpha male status in the wolf pack, or if another, more sinister wolf challenges him.

A fast paced, good read. I'm praying Ms. Hunt is writing more for this series.
