Wild Child Publishing and Freya’s Bower

Wild Child Publishing opened its doors in 1999 as an online magazine (Wild Child Magazine). Created by two roommates with a love for the English word, it grew quickly and became an important resource for writers young and old. It published fiction, non-fiction, poetry, interviews, and travelogues.

In 2005, it opened its doors to book submissions, created the division¬†Freya’s Bower for romance and erotica, and published its first books in May of 2006. Between May 2006 and December 2016, they¬†published between 400-500 books. Among these books were award winners such as, but not limited to, Medicine Man I by S.R. Howen, The Wagonmaster by Nita Wick, and Beneath the Surface by Suzanne Perazzini.

With the changing face of the publishing industry, the owner, Marci Baun, saw the writing on the wall, closed the houses, and change directions, choosing, instead, to help CEOs, speakers, and coaches seeking to professionally self-publish and expertly position their books to further their careers. Her insider publishing experience and connections places her in a unique position to help her clients realize their goals.
